We like to think that Christmas is a time of giving and at this time of year DataSalon donate to several great causes rather than sending corporate gifts or Christmas cards. There’s a lot of need in the world right now, both at home and abroad, so we’re pleased to be able to help – even if just a little.
We’re contributing to six causes this year, locally and worldwide. You can see links to all of these below, but we wanted to highlight in particular two local causes that we’re delighted to be supporting.
Connection Support
Connection Support help people facing some of life’s toughest challenges – from homelessness and mental ill-health to trauma, family breakdowns, and forced displacement. They’ve been supporting people through crises for 30 years and continue to do so.
Connection Support deliver a wide range of vital services, from housing and homelessness support to mental health, family services, assistance for young people, and help for refugees and asylum seekers.
Asylum Welcome
Like many people, we’ve been affected by the tragic stories of so many people having to leave their home countries due to warfare, religious persecution, violence, or politics, and concerned about the poor reception facing them in some areas. Asylum Welcome offers information, advice and practical support to asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants living in Oxfordshire. They help adults, young people and families to feel safe, respected and understood as members of our diverse community.
